It's time to act! Help save vaping with your voice and your actions!
This is very important, and we need all of our customers to take action!
On May 5th, 2016 the FDA announced new regulations for the entire vaping industry.
Effective Monday, August 8th, 2016 all manufacturers, including Monster Vape must go through a lengthy and expensive process of submitting each and every product for FDA approval.
The FDA is classifying all vaping related products as tobacco products, and regulating them as such. As of August 8th, this affects Monster Vape and our customers. (See our compliance page for details.)
The FDA itself has estimated that just one application for one individual product will require thousands of hours and millions of dollars to be submitted for approval.
This means that within two years, if a product (an e-liquid, a mod, a coil or a battery) hasn’t been FDA approved, it will be prohibited.
Monster Vape will be staying open.
It appears as though your choices will become limited compared to what has been available on the market.
There is hope. A bill being looked at by Congress, called HR 2058 would keep all existing products on the market, and only force the new regulations on new products. We need to stand up for our rights as vapers.
What you can do to help save vaping as we know it:
Every two-to-four weeks, we’ll compile relevant news about these attempted regulations so that you can stay on top of what’s happening in the efforts to take away our vaping. We’ll let you know what you can do on a month-to-month basis to help Monster Vape save vaping.
No matter what political affiliation you are, there is legislation that can save the products that are already out there. Contact your State Representatives and your local governments to make sure they know your story. Let them know that you want them to support HR 2058.
3. Join CASAA for free. (The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association)
CASAA represents vapers. Their mission is to ensure the availability of effective, affordable and reduced harm alternatives to smoking by increasing public awareness and education; to encourage the testing and development of products to achieve acceptable safety standards and reasonable regulation; and to promote the benefits of reduced harm alternatives.
The results of this survey will be put in front of regulators as evidence of how vaping has helped us. This survey helps to give vapers a voice.
